what jobs ask for

  • hours
  • output
  • compliance
  • titles from the past

what people are made of

  • curiosity
  • creativity
  • connection
  • a future to grow into

every job description ever written starts from a vacancy. almost none start from a human being. meanwhile, for the first time, workers worldwide rank work-life balance above pay. 5

our story

the jobs that will define the next decades don't exist yet. that is the opportunity.

for generations, work has been built around tasks, not people. we fit ourselves into roles designed for machines, factories and org charts, and we call the mismatch normal.

but the future of work is still unwritten. for the first time in generations, we get to ask the question before the jobs exist: what would people actually love to do? impossible jobs was born to ask it, out loud, one job at a time.

by 2030, 170 million new jobs will be created, and nearly 40% of the skills work requires will change. 6 the future is being hired for right now.

our final goal

more fulfilled people. future happiness. we won't stop until the work people do feels like the life they want, not the price they pay for it.

we know you hate your job. you can keep it. or wait for the one you were actually made for. it's closer than you think.
