impossible jobs

privacy & data · plain language

we read people, not your inbox.

this is the version without the time travel. it says what impossiblejobs.org collects, why, and how to make us forget you. last updated 18 october 2026.

who we are

impossible jobs is an independent project. the data controller is [legal name / sole trader name], [country]. you can reach the humans behind it at hello@impossiblejobs.org. every job posting on this site is fictional; we are not an employer and not a recruitment agency, and nothing you send us is passed to one.

what we collect, and why

that's all. today the site has no mailing list, no analytics, no tracking and no cookies. if we add a boarding list (an email to tell you when a mission becomes real) or site statistics later, this page will say so first: what is stored, where, and how to leave.

what we don't do

where the data lives

the site: GitHub Pages (GitHub, USA). our mailbox: Microsoft (EU/US data centres). fonts: Google Fonts (Google). each operates under its own privacy terms and standard contractual safeguards for international transfers.

how long we keep it

emails to hello@: up to 2 years, then deleted. settings in your browser: until you clear them; session settings end when you close the tab.

your rights

wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. email hello@impossiblejobs.org with the subject "data request" and we'll answer within 30 days. depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

cookies

none. the site sets no cookies. the only things it keeps are the settings above, in your browser's own storage, and you can clear them any time in your browser's settings.

fictional content

every mission, company, character and address on this site is invented. any resemblance to real companies or people is accidental. "applying" sends an email to us, not to an employer, and creates no job offer, contract or expectation. we think that's obvious. our lawyers asked us to say it anyway.

changes to this page are logged with a new "last updated" date at the top. questions: hello@impossiblejobs.org.
